SHORT BIO

Nathalie M.L. Römer is an author based in Frövi, Sweden. She lives here with her partner Anders. Before this, she lived for over two decades in Britain. She was born and initially raised in the Netherlands, and later also lived in Curaçao in her teen years.

She considers herself a multi-genre author and she publishes under her imprint Emerentsia Publications, a company she has set up specifically to be an independent author and publisher. The publishing house is also located in Sweden, and it is found at emerentsiapublications.com. She co-owns this company with her partner, Anders.

Nathalie writes science fiction, fantasy, amateur sleuth mysteries, and romance. She’s working on expanding the scope of the genres she writes in and the genres will include speculative fiction, historical fantasy, retellings of myths and legends, retellings of fairy tales, suspense fiction.

LONG BIO

Nathalie M.L. Römer is an author based in Frövi, Sweden. She lived in Gusselby since early 2015 before moving to Frövi late 2025, and lives here with her (business) partner and Anders, who is also an author (due for release in 2026). Before moving to Sweden, Nathalie lived for over two decades in Britain where her mother was born and raised. Her father is from the island Curaçao, and the author was born and raised during childhood in the Netherlands. During her teenage years she was living on the Dutch Caribbean island, Curaçao, before moving to Britain. Because of the number of places she has lived in (so far!) Nathalie considers herself a multi-cultural individual. Nathalie writes her books in British English, and has long-term plans to get them translated to Swedish, Dutch and a few other languages.

She considers herself a multi-genre author, and creates book that are of a genre but that may incorporate elements from other genre to enrich a story. She owns the imprint (and the future Swedish business) Emerentsia Publications (for general fiction publications) that in turn, she owns the imprints Oh! With Dots (for non-fiction publications) and Crowerotica Fantasies (for erotica fiction). She established herself early in her writing career as an independent author and publisher. The publishing house is based in Sweden, and its website is emerentsiapublications.com. She co-owns the business with her partner, Anders.

Nathalie primarily writes science fiction, fantasy, amateur sleuth mysteries, and romance. She’s working on expanding the scope of the genres she writes, currently including horror and alternate history into her writing range, and further genres will include speculative fiction, historical fantasies, retellings of myths and legends, retellings of fairy tales, and suspense fiction.

She loves hobbies and she can be found dabbling with photography, art, graphic design, playing computer games (most notably World of Warcraft), cooking, travelling and exploring, watching movies and tv series, and reading books.
